You will fly into Puerto Vallarta International Airport (PVR)

Direct, affordable buses run from Puerto Vallarta to Punta de Mita every 15–30 minutes, operated primarily by ATM Medina and Compostela. Buses depart from points near the airport or downtown, cost approximately $35–$95 pesos ($2–$6 USD), and take about 1 hour and 15 minutes to 1 hour and 30 minutes, depending on traffic. Uber is available around Puerto Vallarta and Punta de Mita. An Uber from Puerto Vallarta (or PVR Airport) to Punta Mita generally costs between $600 and $900 MXN ($35–$55 USD) for a standard car, depending on demand and exact location. Travel time is approximately 45–60 minutes.

For the most part, Punta de Mita is very walkable, but if/when driving is necessary (and, you don't have a rental car), it is common to use/rent golf carts to get around town! Check out Mita Carts or EZCARTS
